Practice
My practice has a basis in ‘careful looking,’ using drawing and photography as tools of investigation; experiences of place and the methods we use to locate ourselves in our environments are of particular interest to me.
Grounded in work on site to establish a body of visual and contextual research, each project is an approach to a particular environment, with the aim of discerning the vibrant and self-organising ecologies therein.
Finished works explore the role of physical and associative layers of the landscape both in our creation of a sense of place, and in our efforts to place ourselves.
